The Castro Theater in San Francisco will be having its 2nd annual Noir City Christmas. Noir City Christmas is held on December 14th for one night only, so you’ll want plan ahead. I would even suggest purchasing tickets ahead of time, just to make sure that you don’t miss out.

This year they will playing two Christmas time Noir classics. Lady on a Train will begin at 7:30 pm and will be followed by Christmas Holiday, scheduled for 9:20 pm. Both of these films are great classics and anyone who gets a chance to see them in the historical Castro Theater should certainly take full advantage of the opportunity.
Lady on a Train is a classic Noir tale of a witnessed murder, a missing body and a leading lady seeking out help to solve a crime that police are reluctant to act upon. This movie was directed by Charles David. It was originally filmed in 1945 and runs 94 minutes.
The Christmas Holiday is a Noir classic set in New Orleans. This film has many key characters and elements. A soldier returning home for Christmas gets stuck in New Orleans where he is introduced to a singer that is actually a prostitute and brought to a night club that turns out to be a brothel. The plot continues to thicken with each scene. The Christmas Holiday was originally released in 19444 and runs 93 minutes. This movie was directed by Robert Siodmak.
In addition to these two films, The Castro Theater will be introducing the Noir City X’s full schedule. Noir City X marks the 10th anniversary of the Film Noir Festival. Noir City X will be at the Castro Theater next year in January between the 20th and the 29th.
